About GameTymers

GameTymers was founded in 2003 and established as a non profit organization in 2009. Our goal is to offer a program where youth boys and girls ages 8-17 residing in the San Fernando Valley can learn about basketball as well as important life enriching skills including dedication, respect, discipline, leadership, and teamwork.

Each of our GameTymers Basketball teams compete at all levels of play including: local tournaments, regional tournaments, and national competition. Players are exposed to all levels of competition commensurate with their ability and individual skill level.

Mission Statement

The mission of GameTymers is to enable youth boys and girls to participate in the game of basketball in a safe and character-building environment. GameTymers Basketball promotes the teaching of basketball fundamentals and high-caliber basketball play through team practices, leagues, tournament games, camps, clinics, as well as one-on-one instructional sessions.

Long Term Goals

GameTymers believes in community involvement and in developing strong basketball teams where player bonding, self-discipline, and high academic performance in school are required. Our goals not only include helping players acquire strong basketball skills, but we also place importance on building character on and off the court.

Coaching a team is sometimes like trying to hold a cloud in your hand. It is constantly changing shape. Bits and pieces escape. And you have to change along with it, adjusting to each new form.
